Journalism Entry #1:
As Neil Gaiman says in his essay, "Where Do You Get Your Ideas?", authors get their ideas from their head and from experiences. However, for journalists, I feel like this is somewhat true, but there are other factors as well. Journalists have the element of truth to consider. The truth is a journalists first priority. They do not have the luxury of making up ideas from anything, creating a world out of their own imagination. Journalists choose ideas from the world around them. They look at experiences in the world or their own life and make it unique and interesting so that it is appealing to their own audience, while at the same time ensuring that it is the truth.
